Xeriscape

My blog is about creating xeriscape yards in Kamloops and how to adapt them to our climate.

Remember to post your planning outline so that others can read it and comment. Also, be sure to post some photos of your site so that people can comment on what they think you should do with it. Here is a link to the City of Kamloops page on xeriscapes: http://www.kamloops.ca/water/xeriscape.shtml
There is also contact information there where you should be able to get a copy of the landscaping guide published by the City. Also, check out the demo garden at MacArthur Island (it might not be much to look at at this time of year).

There are lots of books out there on Xeriscape Yards, including a whole series like this one:

Also, there is this company which I found inside Kamloops that deals with xeriscape landscaping - might be some good people to interview or speak to about more information.

Hope that can be some help!

Oops! The link to the books was supposed to be this:

It would be helpful to explain what Xeriscape is for those of us who don't know.
